In this video, we take a closer look at Clim’s prolific career spanning the last 10+ years. Specifically, we focus on his commitment to developing a strong personal practice.
Where to begin? Here we discuss Clim’s process and how he starts a new film. What were the catalysts that led to this project, and what role do research and writing play?
Let’s dive into the nuts and bolts of how this project came about. In this video, we chat with Clim and Edgar Ferrer about what, when, why, and how 3D played a role in this project.
In this video, the mega-talented Edgar Ferrer takes us through some details as we explore the more technical side of this project, including the animation, camera work, and lighting.
The work is done, and now comes the hard part… launching the film! In this video, we discuss how Clim went about distributing to the masses, and how you go about getting people to see it.
It’s About Time is a stunning 3D short film created by Climent Canal and Edgar Ferrer. Taking the form of a kinetic poem, this film paints a portrait using eight visual metaphors combining set design, animation, and sound.
Clim is an international award-winning creative director, designer, and producer. With over 15 years of experience, he handpicks the perfect dream team for each job. That’s how Clim is mastering the art of directing.
In addition to the video walkthroughs, this Workshop includes various project files that were used directly in the production of these films, from initial mood boards and storyboards down to production project files.

Holdframe Workshops are deep-dives into specific projects done by an artist, studio, or collective. Rather than focus on broad fundamentals, they allow for a peek behind the curtain to see how some of the best work in the industry gets made. They are much shorter than School of Motion courses and are available to watch instantly after enrollment. Workshops do not have teaching-assistants, homework, or student groups like our courses do.
For instant access courses, students can request a refund within the first 30 days from their point of purchase.
